![]() ![]() ![]() Omg Ive been waiting for this question since like forever. RCT1: More simple in design, more basic in functionality. Best of the 3 when it comes to scenarios. The upside (or downside depending) is you have to unlock them by beating previous scenarios. RCT2: The most open, made to build! Custom scenery, imported scenarios, better animation and generally regarded as the most diverse. They give you the option to just build, no money or park restrictions if you so choose. RCT3: First entry into 3D, but theres a steep learning curve when it comes to landscaping. ![]() Even more options for custom scenery and custom scenarios. EDIT: You can ride the rides! Forgot about that! Really cool, but not as cool as it sounded originally. ![]() Personally, I prefer the nostalgia of the 1st, mainly because of the awesome scenarios and the actual need to unlock them. RCT2 just gives them to you, no questions asked. The third one is different, not the same feel as the first 2. I think thats mostly due to changing up the art style, isometric view, and UI. Its a good game, but the scenarios are a little weak to be honest. So I'd pick 1, but for you I'd recommend 2 (and apparently you did pick it). Especially because the online community has made recreations of ALL the RCT1 scenarios (including expansions) into the game nearly perfectly down to objectives, descriptions, and research unlock order. You can import the RCT1 (and 2) scenarios into 3, but theres issues with clipping on the terrain, some things had to be adjusted / changed. Hit me up if you want a link to the RCT1 recreations. This whole thread would highly recommend them.Įveryone seems to hate on 3 a lot. I really loved 1 and 2, I grew up with them, but 3 isn't bad at all. The graphics haven't aged well, but they haven't aged nearly as bad as some things. I never enjoyed riding my own rides I had already had my fill of that from.Sim Theme Park I think it was. The expansions for 3 really do add a bunch too, and some radically alter the way you play the game and win scenarios. The scenarios are really easy, you'll find that it's far easier than either of the previous games. Yeah I try to not mess with it as much as possible except for the occasional flattening the ground. I prefer to use stairs and boardwalks to get around the terrain manipulation thing. It's not a huge deal but it is a negative point, the terrain could have been done much better. Oh, and if you feel like spending a bunch of time not building parks, it's got a fairly complex utility to create themed, times fireworks shows. #When did rollercoaster tycoon 3 platinum come out on steam full.Create pyrotechnic wonders and laser light shows with the RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 MixMaster.Play through dozens of scenarios in three difficulty modes or build without limits in Sandbox mode.Create savage encounters and thrilling safaris!
